Victoria Falls or Mos-oa-Tunya (The smoke that thunders) is one of the worlds most spectacular natural wonders. The falls are on the Zambezi river which forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and they are a truly magical place.
Vic Falls town is on the Zimbabwean side of the border and Livingstone is the closest main town on the Zambian side. There are some incredible accommodation and activity options in the area, ranging from pure luxury to bungy jumping off the bridge down into the Zambezi Gorge or rafting some of the worlds biggest whitewater. Vic Falls is an easy place to fly in and out of and is an ideal gateway to the safari lodges of Botswana, however Vic Falls is an amazing destination in itself!
