The ongoing story of Pepper...

How did we get into travel you may ask. This is a valid question and the answer is pretty simple. We very, truly, passionately love it. Travel is something that is in everybody and once you have stepped out the door and experienced something new once, its a bug that doesn't go away.

Starting a business is an interesting experience and over the years we have learnt a lot. But ultimately we really love what we are doing and that is what makes all the diference. Every day we learn something new and every day we get a little bit better at what we are doing. We have pretty large plans for this friendly little company of ours and with the great enthusiasm and incredible people who have become part of the Pepper family over the years, we have no doubt that we will achieve them all! Our story is roughly as follows (we've simpified it a bit but the basics are all there):

Once upon a time* there were 2 guys who thought that there must be more to life than the standard London rat race. So one night, in the depths of the Kent countryside after a few beers and maybe a glass or two of port**, they had a brainstorming session and came up with three things: world peace, an empty bottle of port and the realisation that out of all things that they could do in the world, running a travel company was right up at the top of the list. They forgot about the world peace and the port but over the months to come the travel company idea grew and here you are reading all about it.

  Johnny Prince

  Johnny is normally found emailing or on the phone. Usually to Doug, sometimes to Enzo and mostly to all of you who phone up asking about our trips. Johnny is the guy you would take home to meet your mom. Except with more facial hair. He enjoys suncream and using the word "ridiculous".

  Vince Dickson

  Vince toyed with the idea of permanently travelling the world. But on one trip to the UK, he had a few beers and a glass or two of port and woke up with a travel company. Now he spends his days making suggestions that are usually rejected by Johnny and playing around on our website.

  Pippa Dickson

  Pippa has the great distinction of being able to introduce herself as "Pippa from Pepper". Other than humming to herself and making fun of Doug she also spends time running the ocasional trip and making sure we are doing all the good we want to be doing.

  Francesca Castle

  Franc is our unofficial team mascot. She moves in and out of our marketing department and spends a lot of her time involved with our Gap Year groups. She enjoys romantic dinners and Bruce Lee movies and is currently looking for the right man. Send all enquiries to hello@pepperexperience.com!

  Enzo Cavaliero

  Enzo has been around Pepper since day 1. He is like a bad smell but in a good way. He spends most of his time split between going to gym and listening to Johnny on the phone. He lets Johnny tell him what to do which is good and then normally does the opposite which usually works out better for everyone.

  Doug Stanley

  Doug speaks quite a few languages and is fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese. He also just speaks a lot in general. Normally on the phone to our suppliers. He makes sure that everything lives up to his high standards. This is a good thing because it means we can trust everything we design 100%.
