Founded by an Englishman and an African, the Pepper Experience started life next to a log fire over a bottle of port in the depths of the English countryside. Armed with our experience of having lived and traveled all over the continent, a little black book of friends and contacts built up over years and years and a shiny new bus unofficially named Peter, our early days were spent running tailor made tours and clocking up thousands of miles driving the back, front and side roads of Africa.
Our little black book grew and grew and our knowledge and experience of planning, organising and running trips expanded daily. Soon we realised that we actually knew quite a bit and began to get people coming to us for help organising things that no one else could. From big group tours, to intimate honeymoon getaways, Pepper grew and we began advising and creating increasingly more unique experiences in Africa for a huge range of people.
The idea behind the Pepper Experience is that travel is experiential. It is something that needs to be touched, smelt, tasted and felt. A truly memorable travel experience is the sum of an infinite number of small moments that combine in perfect unison to create something intangible and amazing. With limited time and an unlimited world out there, it is the details that can ensure truly memorable travels.
