Chilling in Plett

I apologise to all you loyal readers of this blog that haven't had an update in the last week. It really has been a crazy time and there's been so much going down that I just haven't had a chance to entertain you all with my exciting life and assorted random stories.

After a truly crazy week in Cape Town sorting out a few last minute details for our January Experience, I am now in Plettenberg Bay for a few weeks. It is a truly amazing place. I've been coming up here for as far back as I can remember and its still just as awesome every time I arrive. Plett is one of our Road-Trip stops on the Pepper Experience. It is 5 hours outside of Cape Town along the famous Garden Route of South Africa. As I mentioned, a truly awesome place. Warm water, beautiful beaches, so much to do in the area, including hiking, mountain biking, surfing, sky-diving, fishing and just plain chilling on the amzing beaches. I was out swimming yesterday afternoon, when out of nowhere a huge school of dolphins popped up right in front of me. That's the sort of experience that you never forget, and the sort of experience that can be an everyday thing in a place like Plett. Did I mention how much I love this place?!

A great weekend

What an amzing weekend in Cape Town! Perfect summer weather really kicked in this weekend and the obvious decision (for most of Cape Town) was to hit the beach. Clifton beach is a landmark in Cape Town and possibly one of the most beautiful spots on earth. This Saturday Clifton was at its best! Perfect sunshine, no wind and amazingly warm water (for Cape Town). The beach had an awesome vibe going and it was the perfect way to spend the day. Saturday night did not dissapoint either. It was kicked off by a visit to a Cape Town institution, Mercury Live. Mercury is the main live music venue in the city and we went there on Saturday to see a band called LPShow. They haven't been gigging much lately but I can honestly say that they are still one of the best live acts around and always play a great set! For those of you who've seen the full Pepper DVD, the track during the Durban section on the DVD is a song by LPShow called "Taylor and Young". For anyone who wants to hear their music, log onto www.loadtheshow.com to download it all. I hope it gives you as much enjoyment as it gives me!

Anyway so after an amazing start to the evening, going home wasn't an option. So we moved to the Camps Bay strip and ended up at one of my personal favourite spots in the city, Ignite. Ignite really goes off during the summer and Saturday night was no exception. It's such a great venue and always proivides large amounts of good times! You know it's been a good night when the lights have been turned on and you are being politely asked to leave the dance floor by a 6ft5 bouncer who hasn't slept in 3 weeks. As I said, a great day followed by a great night! Here's to many more weekends like that and to a great summer in Cape Town!

Exciting times

I can't believe it December already! I know that its absolute pure cliche and that when December comes round every year you hear the same thing so often that it gets obscenely irritating..but I'm gonna say it anyway: "Where has the year gone"?!

January really does seem like it was yesterday. But when I stop for a second and look back and see how much has happened this year and it seems like it was a lot more than 11 months ago. With all of your support, Pepper has really taken off this year and we have gone from strength to strength. So to all of you out there..a huge thank you from us!

Planning is slowly being finalised for our 3 Month Experience next year and all we have to do now is wait for the 28 January when everyone arrives in Cape Town to kick off what promises to be an incredible experience. With the great group we have already and a few last minute bookings still coming in, the excitement is really mounting for everyone involved! Check out this really well put together youtube video for a little taster of what Cape Town has to offer...hopefully it will help build the excitement a bit more!

Hope you enjoy it!
