Another day has passed and so has another chapter of the epic Pepper adventure. It would be pointless to recall all the good times had up until now but this obscenely beautiful city has nestled itself under my skin. The odyssey began in a plush Langebann beach house, where the sunsets would lull each one of us into a peaceful haze accompanied by some fresh fish and many pepper vodkas. We've now settled into the "Zebra Crossing" Hostel which sits just above Kloof Street - a relaxed boulevard that leads down to long street - the home of Pepper's modest office and many buzzing watering holes.
As for the activities - the surfers have honed their skills on various beaches, despite the brutal swell. I have no doubt that by next week I'll be an accomplished SCUBA champ under the watchful eye of Ben who really knows the ins and outs of any regulator, BCD or oxygen tank you can find.
A quality Pepper team, some quality travelling compadres and a city that defies any adventuruos imagination - I'm liking this trip!
