Durban and the Drakensberg

On Sunday we arrived at our next destination - the Secret Spot. It really felt like a secret spot, it was so pretty as we drove into the overgrown tropical drive. When we went in we found everything we could wish for; a bath, a pool, a telly, a trampoline and more dogs. We settled in and went for a delicious dinner where Vicki successfully ate about a cow and a half in rump steak!

Our day out in Durban saw me and Vicki get our long awaited trip to the aquarium. We saw a dolphin show, more of Vicki's favourite penguins and some scary snakes and bugs as well as sharks, turtles and sting rays. It was the coolest aquarium ever because it was in a broken ship - vintage! The others had been sunbathing so we joined them and also all took part in a frisbee tournament. It was difficult because it was so hard to catch but fun as we were among some pros. Back at the Secret Spot Pippa cooked up a treat of yummy fajita wraps and Doug whisked up some Margueritas whilst I had a surprisingly long chat with the pet parrot.

Saying goodbye to the Indian Ocean was sad but we were heading for awesome weather in the Drakensberg Mountains. Our lodge was quiet but very cool and I was adamant about cooking my famous turtle brownies even though I was missing some key ingredients. They made me and Vicki hyper so we went outside to take some night photos and ran around so much that we thought the stars were UFOs!

We took our long walk the next day quite slowly, but we still had time for hopping, skipping, singing, dancing and photos. We drank from the Crystal Falls and made up cheerleading songs about Pepper on the way down. The afternoon was a nice time to chill by the pool together and Pippa even managed to detangle the dreadlocks I'd grown due to my broken brush.

We're now on the way to Jo'burg and its Danielle's last day - Booo! But we will make it a good one - as usual!

Love Victoria
