Gap Year Experiences
Updates and info from on the ground during our 11 week and 5 week Experiences in South Africa

After an action-packed few days in Plettenberg Bay it was time to escape to the secluded town of Hogsback up in the mountains. In the two nights we were there we difintiely made the most of the surreal surroundings and scenic viewpoints of the sleepy town.
We managed to fit in two incredible sunsets on the edge of cliffs looking over the valley. We adventured through the "Lord of the Rings" forest and up to an incredible waterfall.
After jumping out of a plane, off a bridge and hanging out on cliffs, Victoria's fear of hights finally got the better of her as her and Fiona decided to stay on ground level while the others made it up to the famous 15m tree-house at Away with the Fairies Lodge. (It was a slightly wobbly ladder to be fair). The evenings were kept busy with table football championships, our favourite game - pyramids and we did some extreme star gazing, once again on the edge of a cliff and were lucky enough to spot a shooting star which got Vicki extremely excited for the rest of the evening.
So after the fun and games on the mountains it was time to head back towards the coast - The Wild Coast, for some adventures in Coffee Bay.
