This is not what you expect when you're out on your boat enjoying the sunshine and beautiful views in Cape Town's Table Bay! The capetonian couple got a bit more than they bargained for when they were out whale watching last month...

Southern Right Whales come to the South African coast between July and November to mate and the males have some pretty flamboyant ways of attracting the ladies' attention but even still, this was a rare occurrence indeed and a big shock for the couple on board. They escaped totally unhurt but the beast from the deep did some pretty major damage to the mast, and yet they insist that the incident won't stop them from continuing their boat trips in search of whales.
On a total change of tack, the Pepper team are keeping their fingers crossed for all of you out there who are anxiously waiting for A-level results tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone!
