The Fish River Canyon is over 160 kilometres long and over 500 metres deep in places. With clear skies almost all year round, the views are truly breathtaking and can be enjoyed sipping cocktails by the pool, on an open-top game vehicle or during an invigorating hike down to the river below.
On the edge of the Fish River Canyon in Southern Namibia
From £100 per night
From May to October
Your private outside shower, perched on the rim of the world’s second highest canyon has to be seen (and used!) to be believed. It’s also the only lodge in the area which is located right on the edge of the canyon giving it the best possible views of this ancient natural wonder.

It’s literally miles off the beaten track. The journey there is an experience in itself during which you’re likely to see more mountain zebra and kudu than people. Situated on the quieter western side of the canyon, the lodge is a 4 hour drive from Luderitz or a 1 hour flight from the capital city, Windhoek.
A private decking area for each individual chalet provides the perfect spot to soak up your stunning surroundings. The glass doors and ceiling panels are a masterstroke, allowing for star-gazing at night and then watching the sun rise over the canyon without having to leave your bed!
