Our 11 Week Gap Year Experience is something that we are very proud of. As you may have already figured out, it is 11 weeks long and involves the spectacular country of South Africa. If you have the time, this is the trip that we recommend without any hesitation.
The trip is split into 2 parts:
You will arrive to a 4 day orientation session. This is a chance to get to know the group of other Peppers that you will be living and travelling with for the next 11 weeks. For some people these 4 days produce some of the greatest memories of the trip.
For your time in Cape Town, you will be living in the centre of the city with the rest of the group. Your accommodation is close to the shops and nightlife of Cape Town as well as the beaches and is right underneath Table Mountain. You will also have the support of Pepper Guides who are available 24 hours a day if you need help for any reason. The guides will also be arranging days (and nights) out and making sure that you make the most of your time here.
For your time in Cape Town you will enrol in one of our 5 courses on offer:
Together with others in the group who have enrolled in the same course, you will spend 7 weeks getting stuck into things. Each of the courses has unique benefits and qualifications and one of the beauties of living with a group of others who are doing different courses to you is that you will be with a diverse bunch of people with different interests.
After saying fond farewells to your home for the last 2 months, you will hit the road with the rest of the group and the Pepper guides. Our 3 Week Road-Trip involves heading up the coast, through the mountains and being on safari. You will get the chance to see parts of the country you might not have even known about. There is a lot going on during this section as well, with everything from the worlds highest bungy jump through to diving with sharks or just relaxing on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
