Location:
The village of Storms River along the Garden Route is about half an hours drive up the coast from the popular Plettenberg Bay and is the last stop along this spectacular drive. Surrounded by the Tsitsikamma (meaning ‘place of much water’) Nature Reserve, it’s got the incredible charm of being an eco friendly, nature loving hub of activities. Yet at the same time its close to the sun kissed beaches and seasidecharacter of Plettenberg Bay.

When to go:
The Garden Route enjoys a mild climate all year round and thus is perfect for outdoor lovers. However, if you are particularly fond of worshipping the sun on its many pristine beaches then the summer months from November to September are recommended. Christmas and New Year are the peak season for local holiday makers and so during this time expect this normally small towns to be brimming with excitement.
If you are particularly interested in trying to spot the majestic Southern Right whales that visit our shores then June to November would be the best time for you.
