Cape Town is based around Table Mountain. Having a massive mountain range within sight at all times, makes it fairly easy to get your bearings and find your way around the city. Ask any local Capetonian for directions and more often than not, they will be given in relation to the mountain. Driving in from Cape Town International airport will see you come into the city centre. To your north is the world famous V&A Waterfront. To your west, the stunning Atlantic Ocean suburbs of Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay, In the east is the Cape Flats and townships of Gugulethu, Khayelitsha and Nyanga and in the south are the residential Southern Suburbs, the False Bay beaches and eventually Cape Point. Driving around Cape Town is relatively easy once you have your bearings and it is a beautiful place to spend some time exploring.
